sound just silly to an outsider
(Preview)
I thought James.uk's response was appropriate and introspective. He took the topic of fuel mileage and expounded on it - though admittedly in a different direction from the OP's intentions. He's living in a different country with a different culture and different sensibilites and was just sharin...

hi EX-L. My post was not aimed at you personaly, as you rightly say, you didn't mention freewheeling. But others do, so it was a general comment and not meant to be personal. With reff to your post, 3 psi doesn't matter either way, my car is often that far out when I check it, but.. again others seem to go to w...

James, I found your response to my post a little on the glib and condescending side. I don't really take offense to it, because I think I know what you were trying to say. You just came across poorly. Phrases like "quite funny", our "preoccupation", and "bad joke" wil...

nice car with the luxuries and power that I like
(Preview)
If MPG were the only concern people would drive the fit or some other little car. I have a family and I want a nice car with the luxuries and power that I like, I'm not concerned whether I'm getting 20 MPG city or 23 MPG city. I think if MPG is your concern get a small car or hybrid or even better a motorcycle, so...

"just don't buy that type of car"
(Preview)
That's one way to be a jerk I guess. As you said, we have very limited access to anything else. It makes finding alternatives to petrol nearly impossible. Back-handed and indirect insults directed at people trying to get relatively decent mileage (in regional context) with what is available are fun...

Good MPG is 95% about where you live
(Preview)
Good MPG is 95% about where you live, and only 5% about carefull driving, most of the Mickey-mouse driving techniques that appear to be - being used in the US to save cash would get you banned from driving in the UK. I would not advocate increasing tyre pressures to save money, safety is far more importan...

Increasing V6 fuel economy
(Preview)
I know there are a number of posts related to gas mileage. I just wanted to throw another one in the mix as it relates to my continually improving fuel economy. My last three tanks have been 27.9, 28.8, 29.9, 29.2, and now 30.1 mpg respectively. That's a pretty nice trend, especially considering gas pri...

4 Honda products since 1992
(Preview)
Never gonna happen based on this experience. Honda acted like their hands were tied and could not do a thing. And they did not do a thing as far as I could tell.Unfortunately I felt as if I bought a $5.00 item and that I should just go back and deal with the store that sold it to me. So much for customer loyalty...

Funny I go to this forum and read bad reviews on Woodland hills honda. I had the most crappy experience from them a couple weeks ago when I was purchasing my 08 Accord. We ended up getting into an argument and my brother and I simply walked out after being treated like crap by the salesman and his manager. T...

Wow, that sucks! Sounds like the plastic chrome is the least of your worries. My guess is that you get a lot of chips in the paint too if your windshield goes that fast. I guess a clear bra would especially beneficial in your part of the world.

New bumper installed and a success! All day event. I walked over to the body shop and saw them detailing the bumper on the car. I asked to see the old bumper to confirm that they did not try to fix the old one. They know how to paint at this shop. Perfection! (It's the Keyes Body Shop at their Pontiac/GMC deal...

I'd see if the dealer would fix the hole in the front of the bumper, there should be no holes when you remove the tag holder IMO. What if you moved to another state etc? That's precisely why they made the 2 factory screw holes from underneath, so it looks good when the tag is removed, they shouldn't have mad...

What else do you plan on doing to your coupe? A HID plug-n-play conversation kit would go great with your factory projectors. I personally didn't go crazy on mine.
