I have a very specific way of holding the steering wheel when driving one-handed on the 7th gen (think of gripping lower spoke between thumb and index finger, stuffing as many of the remaining fingers as will fit between the opening of the 2 spokes), and this new design kills it. I've been able to do this on all cars I've ever driven, from my previous 2000 Passat to my boss' 760Li. Most sane steering wheels have a normal design, not a futuristic one such as this which I'd expect more of French car manufacturers, not "practical" Honda. Looks like blades that could cut you.
