Im not in denieal or a alarmist. I dislike Gore,,, But not as much as Clinton. With that out of the way.
There is a problem. I dont think its as bad as its projected to be. It needs to be dealt with. Things need to change. I dont know what the answers are but we need to do something. Even a small effort on our part as humans cant hurt.
As a example I will use the Dust Bowl. The Dust Bowl all but destroyed Oklahoma. Texas, Kansas and parts of Arkansas took a bad hit as well. Simple changes in land management, farming and stuff has made a huge difference. Oklahoma is once again in the grips of a drought. The fact is in some areas of the state it was and still is worse than the Dust Bowl days. The dry and wind resulted in massive grass and range fires this past summer and they have already started croping up late in the winter. If it hadnt been for the updated land manegment pratices. Oklahoma would have blown away this summer. And been in the grips of disaster once again.
This not to say that the current drought issues or even the Dust Bowl were caused by or global warming issue. Or the drought in the southwest or the massive winter storms some of the NE USA have seen the past few years.
A little change here and there can make a big diff.
