Hey gang (and Ben, I apologize if this is a repeat of an ages-old thread; I haven't found anything on this topic elsewhere in this forum) -- here's another 'comparison test' question for you:
For those of you who either a) considered a Nissan Maxima against the Accord when car shopping, or b) have driven both the current-generation Accord and current-generation (2004 to current) Maxima -- what were your impressions? Which of the two seemed to perform better? Which had the better build quality? Which of the two appeared to deliver more for the money? What other observations about the cars stuck out?
I'm especially curious about this since most auto enthusiast magazines don't place the two cars in the same category, and therefore usually don't put them in head-to-head comparisons. And...well...I'm also curious because a 2005 Maxima SE is currently one of the cars in the ol' family driveway.
Allow me to start this discussion: I think the Accord wins in almost all categories (especially in build quality and interior appointments)...except in straight-line performance -- and, possibly, in exterior styling.
