yes, i do believe lots of this between you and other members is a language /communication issue! the english language can have many subtleties in it that if you aren't as familiar with the language, you may not notice. aka why we interpretted your comment as calling benjiboy stupid. you didn't mean it harshly, but the way we read it's implied meaning was harsh. (yeah, i know, confusing!!)anyway, i stand by my original recommendations to you. visit another honda dealer if possible. they may be ALOT more willing to work with you. i've been charged through the wazoo for an airfilter at one honda dealership and at another i got them to replace my brakes under warranty, no argument. i have tons of other similar stories. look for the dealership that wants your repeat business. you will know what dealership it is once you've dealt with them. talk to them about this problem over the phone before even making an appointment. weed out the ignorant ones. just like driving from one mcdonald's to the next, you may find the employees at one are horribly grumpy and have the "screw you" mindset. yet 5 blocks away, there may be another mcdonalds that will bend over backwards for it's customer. are they all owned by the same corporation? yes. but the employees and management at each individual location can be drastically different.heck, 2 dealerships i have dealt with are owned by the same guy.... i have had COMPLETELY opposite experiences at those 2 dealerships though because they are actually run by different people!! good luck.
