Another thought in the diesel vs petrol..............
Diesel is the most expensive automotive fuel available in North America by far. I'm sure all of this will adjust as diesel cars become more of a standard here eventually. Currently with the high premium paid for a diesel engine and having to use the highest price fuel there is little advantage to owning one. I'm talking family auto here not trucks that tow or haul for a living.
