Well if MSRP was $23,350 (from hondas website) and you paid $16.8k before taxes, you got a big sum of money for your trade. The trade would've been 6550, but I assume you could've negotiated down a bit, so you probaby got about 3500 for your trade, but still, thats a lotta money for a Honda dealer to give someone for a modified Accord that age and those miles. Mine's 1 year older, with 105000 miles almost, in pristine condition, with a few acessories and Honda OEM exterior upgrades and my dealer wouldn't budge past 2650. Yet they're crazy enough to try and sell a 1997 Accord LX with 88k for $12,000. I thaught I was going blind when I looked at the window sticker.Either way, sounds like you got a great deal, but if you don't mind, I'd really like to know what you got for your trade. I'm pretty disappointed at the fact that the private party vs. trade value on my Accord is downright scary. I thaught it was supposed to retain value better??? . It's a great car, and you traded it for an even better one.
