I testdrove the Black 03' EXL-Nav I4 5spd. As luck would have it, I got there for my 4:30p.m. testdrive appointment and the car wouldn't start. A quick change of the 'old' Honda BAttery to a new one got me on the road at 5. Perfect, I get to drive in traffic. Well thankfully I found some good backroads, and the salesman that was with me was very kind, and he'd try to tell me more about the car, but I'd say "Yup, that's for sunglasses, and yeah I know the cupholders grab onto your cup.". Moving along, I finally got the guy to hush hush, and the car drove beautifully. I've never driven the K20 with the 5MT, only the AT (In my dads previous 03' Accord, and my Mom's TSX). I instantly fell in love, the navigation was easy to use, and all the controls worked for me even though I hadn't set the voice system to me. I'm not a huge fan of the way the stero works if you want to just sue the screen to work it, but I can settle. So once I got back to the dealer, I looked over all the panels on the car and there's only two imperfections; the front of the car looks somewhat sandblasted from rocks and road debris, and the drivers side rear passenger door is not the one that came on the car, and it's substantially heavier than the other doors. I assume its not a Honda Body Part. Still, for 17.5k and all the luxuries of the EXL + Nav + the oh so smooth 5spd + the remainder of the 7/100k it's quite the steal.
My parents who were with me at the time liked it, however my dad likes the coupe better, and wishes I'd just get a brand new Civic for the same price. Eh, but what does he know, he bought a Volvo (No offense to anyone, it was just a joke, his volvo is rather nice actually). So I'm gonna hunt for a few more days, but that car is at the top of my list.
I have a picture of the car that I'll add on here later.
