Our first VCR cost 900 & the last one was 100, but the 2 before that (in '03) were 300. Having 2 quit in the same year that were different brands is one of the reasons we went to DVR. The 100 dollar one has never been used. It's in case I find another tape (family video) that hasn't been put on DVD. It's in the closet. Maybe it'll last longer that way!!
Yep. Disposable. But I don't like throwing away a hundred dollars either.
I'd much rather be buying improved stuff! So when we replace we nearly always upgrade. That way it doesn't feel so bad.
