just because there are common problems, does not mean they get fixed free once you're out of warranty. sometimes they'll help you out and it's great when they will, but bottom line, if you're out of warranty, it's your responsibility to pay for repairs, although $95 to look at it is absolutely absurd...
be glad you're not an audi bi-turbo owner whose turbos blow out 1K miles out of warranty and they won't help you AT ALL. so you have a nearly $5K bill to look forward to. and yeah, that's a common problem on them also.
