the body rubbing is so noticeable from the LEFT a pillar area and cowl that you'd not mistake it for a wheel related sound.

How many miles?

I no longer check ball joints as Honda shows in their service literature. Grasping the tire and checking for up and down play that way will only show upper ball joint play, the lowers would have to be so far gone that the wheels would be ready to come off.

I have been checking the lowers as follows:
raise front end off the ground or put car on lift.
take a large screwdriver or small pry bar and put it between the knuckle and lower control arm.
gently try to lift the knuckle upward away from the lower control arm.
If you see any more than a few thousanths of an inch of play, the ball joint it bad.

I've seen some with up to about a 1/2 inch of play, not on '03 and up, but on '00 to '02 cars. I find any visible play not good, but it can be watched for more wear.
It's not pretty when a double wishbone Honda breaks a ball joint. Much carnage and complete loss of steering and brakes.

On your car, I'd loosen and retorque the axle shaft nuts. I haven't seen it on Hondas but loose axle nuts sometimes cause the front wheel bearings to emit a noise much like what you describe on turns.

do you hear a constant loud rythmic clicking on turns or just one or two "pops"?
