I actually ran the wire from the back of the headunit into the arm rest and put the unit/adapter in there (drilled a hole under the cig lighter socket in there...basically put it there so I can still change the dip settings if I want). I then ran the dock cable and line-in cable from the armrest back through the hole, under the cupholders, gearshift, and "not an ashtray" and through another hole I drilled at the back of the storage bin under the radio. So basically I can put my MP3 player in the storage/CD bin under the radio while driving, then turn off the player, turn off the car, and shut the bin door and no one is the wiser...
