dozen Hondas since 1981
Permalink

Ive had a dozen Hondas since 1981, many driven up to and well in excess of 100K miles, and with one exception (1994 Legend GS), they all had some kind of brake issue, whether noise, warp, or excessive wear. Other than that, they were fabulous cars. Of course, I havent owned year of every model Honda makes, and the tranny issue is well-documented, but at least Honda stepped up and provided a 100K warranty in that situation.

On that note, since this is a 7th-Gen Accord forum, what exactly are the foibles of the 7th gen Accord? I see few, and it looks as though even the tranny issues are solved. In perusing this forum over the past 2 months, Ive read of FAR fewer maladies per post in general about these cars than Ive experienced on other cars forums. Lets face it, what are we talking about here? A warped plastic cowling? Debating XM radio? Whose options are better? What we paid for our cars?

We 7th Gen accord owners have it SO made. One can debate what makes a car great on many levels (horsepower, braking, etc.), but when it comes to reliability and long-term value, absolutely NOTHING tops the Accord (and many other Honda models), and this is a FACT supported by the numbers.
