"system restore" type CD

>>>I've been able to match them as well.<<< Hmmm this rather implies, that most people, driving in what would be considered a perfectly normal manner, would not achieve the stated figures?

Jean was told that the 1.600cc Mazda 323f fi 16v exec auto she bought would return mpg in the mid 30's.. But the truth was, it barely got into the low 20's most days! Best ever was a 200 mile mway trip at 23 mpg! Needless to say the cars gone now! It's the same all over the UK really, most car dealers lie all day long to get a sale. paranoid.gif

If I trusted the car makers, dealers, and service people, I would update to a newer car, but while cars have an ECU in them that's been programmed to do gawd-knows-what, I wont bother!

Putting a USB port in a car with a readable print out and a simple "system restore" type CD to input in times of a fail-start or elec failure that most people could understand, is not that difficult. Instead, they choose a system that doesn't allow the owners access to any information. In fact, they can tell you anything! and you have to pay them for that information whether it's true or not!!. Hmmm... Sadly.. I can only draw rather unpleasant conclusions for them choosing to work in such a secretive manner.. paranoid.gifdunno.gif

On a lighter note. It has been a lovely week here, temps still only 50f ish, but very sunny most days, roll on summer. smile.gifbiggrin.gif
