I've only had two or three tanks in over 50,000 miles with an average of less than 30MPG. Most of the time I average about 33MPG in about 40/60 city/highway driving. The lowest tank I remember was 24MPG with 100% city driving and 100% air conditioner usage.
I generally don't rev the engine above 2,500RPM for normal acceleration. I also generally try to keep the car in 4th gear when passing, but sometimes the automatic has a mind of its own.
People need to avoid a daily redline to get better mileage!
