Yep one year ago I had the same decision to make. Went to the dealer and I was leaving with a civic or Accord. As soon as I sat in the Civic I didnt like it. The way the whole dashboard just comes out at you was a major turn off. Just didnt care for the design. And the actual look of the car seemed kind of cheap and corny looking...not the S.I. though.
Then the dealer brought arount this black Accord coupe and it was love at first site. Very sporty and sleek with a slight luxury design. The interior design and the the power jusr sealed the deal.
