I had CarToys install Focal 165cv1 components up front and 690cv1 in the rear connected to my factory HU (2007 EXL Coupe). The Focals are very efficient speakers. Not only to they play really, really loud, but the Bass is very strong and tight. In fact, the installer commented that it sounds like I had a small sub.
Granted, I can't make my ears bleed like some of the aftermarket systems being you guys are installing. I just wanted to point out that there are options for folks on a budget. But, to be honest, the Focals were around $1000 installed, so I guess you get what you pay for even with simple installations.
