Well heres the latest. I pulled the Polk speakers. Reinstalled the factory. Yes less on clarity and seperation but got the bass back. Regarding the factory speakers. I was told that these are NEO Speakers very small but hign powered magnets. They are made by Alpine. NEO Type speakers are sopposively a new tech ( I had never heard of them before) My tech (36 years old) was impressed but said he would still change out. Wants me to wait until next week, he and his partner want to think about the improvments I am looking for. OH by the way, the kid at Circuit City wired the Polks in wrong and they were out of phase. We rewired and some of but not quite the same level of bass as the factory speakers. Bottom line, back to square one but have faith in the new tech (Private Audio Store NOT Chain Store) THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR INPUT. Will let you know final outcome.
