Hey everyone..new to the forums and ever grateful for the wealth of information.
Anyways, here's my contribution. I'm a new owner of an 05 Accord LX (57k miles, got it for $13k) and I needed a solution to hook up my JVC KDBT1 (http://mobile.jvc.com/product.jsp?mo...thId=54&page=1) to my new car...I just can't live without hooking up my 4 gigs of music.
Anyway, after research I decided to try out the Metra since I didn't want to lose my cubbyhole. Here are gripes with it:
-It feels sort of "cheap" -It doesn't quite match the rest of the dash -My A/C button lights up no matter what when I hit either defrost buttons -The little white slit that indicates where the temperature is and where the fan power is doesn't light up. I fixed this (pics below) -Stickers on the buttons look like they'll peel off (again, solved)
