Clock/Radio/CD/Climate display
Permalink

Nov 24, 2006, the backlight of my Clock/Radio/CD/Climate display went off. Every component of the unit works properly, but I cannot see anything on center console. The following week, I went to local honda dealer and was told it will cost $700 to diagnose the problem, send the radio for repair and to reinstall the radio, since I was out of warranty. Outraged with price, I left and called America Honda customer service about my situation. The first response from service rep was that it was a known problem and American Honda had extended the warranty and would cover it. I went to another dealer, who ordered the radio and took them 1 hours to install the remanuf-radio unit. Honda took care of the bill. Bottom line, everyone who has this problem needs to call American Honda. They will cover it. Good luck. It is already 2 months and my radio still sings.
