I think it's always refreshing to see a "girl" interested in the auto world!! Do you plan this as a career?
There's really nothing the guys are better at in the automotive field if trained equally, but you will have to be twice as good at as the guys you'd work with. I'm speaking from years of my prince being in the field. There's only been a handful of female techs & he's thought they were better than most of the guys he's worked with, but they HAD to be. He complained several times on their behalf when they weren't treated fairly. He's done the same for any new person he's worked with.
Most of the guys get help with the heavy stuff & pushing cars in.... yet if the females ask, it seems to be "see I told ya....."
My sister would've been great at it had she chosen that direction. I prefer to keep the interest lighter.... more on the "hobby" type of thing.
