American cars so different."Are the US produced cars purely for the domestic market whereas about 75% Swindon output is for export - wouldn't be surprised if some sent to Japan.I live quite close to a big Nissan plant who export like crazy including a lot back to Japan. Reason - the Sunderland plant builds a better product than the Japanese [if only Nissan didn't use French designers since the tie-up with Renault, they could be world leaders but, to be quite frank, the cars are superbly engineered and ultra reliable and awful to look at.
