I've had my Civic loaded up with 5 passengers and have had no problem. The rear floor is flat unlike the Accord's hump. If you want a large sedan get the Accord. The Civic Sedan is funner to drive when compared to the Accord Sedan, i personally loved the Civic's dash design and the location of the shifter was perfect. (same location as the 08 Accord). Both are great vehicles and stylish. If you had a buget of 21K$ I'd say go for the Civic EX-L instead of the Accord LX. (You get more things for the money) especially since you can get an EX-L at 19K$. Civic will boast great gas mileage (one of the reasons I got it). But that being said if you have a family larger than 4 people get the Accord Sedan. Can't beat the v6 Accord.
P.S. Go for 08 Models, 7th Gen accord will loose its value much quicker now that the 8th Gen is out, and ACE makes it safer.
