got the LX on 11/17 last year after about 2.5 months doing research. have clocked 1,090 on the odo.
it's our 1st honda after having spent the last 10 years in a '92 corolla so you can just imagine how "novel" things are -- from the ride, handling, interior & exterior finish, quietness, & room, among others. but the expectations have also been high since it IS a hondaaccord and so far, it has delivered...
i have several "small gripes" -- if you can call them that.
one, the mileage i have. it's almost all city driving and the first tank from the dealer only gave me 15 MPG. things have become better since then but nowhere near the advertised 23 MPG. i have been advised that this is bound to happen since it's still breaking in. after having been to the dealer for an inspection of a suspected water leak, i was told by the asst service mgr that break-in would be 5K miles -- practically till the 1st oil change.
my second gripe is related to the brakes when starting out cold. i hear a "thud" whenever i brake while traveling around 3-5 MPH and a squeaking just before i release the pedal. i'm attributing the "thud" to the break-in of the rotors and pads and hope that things settle down before long.
the third would be the acceleration. we got the I4 because of the fuel economy but didn't expect acceleration to be this "lazy" for a 2.4 engine even while trying to keep the tach between 2-2.5K...
