While the ML is a terrible example of what a Mercedes can be and it's a stretch to compare an SUV to a sedan..... I went from a 1999 Mercedes ML430 to an 08 Accord EX-L V6 (with navi). The Accord is superior in every single way (except for one). The Accord's doors close with more solidly. It is smoother, quieter, and has materials on par with the ML. The seats are more comfortable and offer more positions. The seats warm up faster. The auto dimming rear view mirror is more intelligent.
The only think I really wish I could have on the Accord is auto-dimming side mirrors. I had them on the ML and I miss them. I don't know why it's so hard to get them on cars.. not even Acura offers them. And even on entry level Mercedes (C), Audi (A4), and BMW (3) cars they are optional.
