Not really. I read an article or two some years back saying a FWD vehicle with snow tires is as good or better than an AWD vehicle on all-seasons.
Granted, AWD means different things for different people and given the choice, I'd like to have it on something I drive with the ridiculous amount of snow we get here. But the added initial expense, drivetrain loss in power and lower fuel economy doesn't seem to make sense over a FWD A4 or TSX. So that point goes to the TSX .
And for anybody who might think I'm trying to bias myself in Acura's favor, I would like to say I just bought an AWD vehicle that is not Honda nor Acura. Stating facts does not make me a fanboy.
