in what world are you living in? we have rented a4's twice now due to stevel's tires being worn out on the accord an the rental charge being dirt cheap with a damage waiver through his work. it doesn't compare to the tsx. it's a different car with different perks and different downsides. it all depends on what you want in a car. a tsx has a USEABLE backseat, even with someone seated in the front. an a4? nope. no way is a human with legs fitting in that back seat if someone is in the front passenger seat. problem number 1 with an a4.problem #2, headroom. an a4 feels like a civic coupe as far as headroom goes. a tsx can fit a much taller person more comfortably.problem #3, reliability. a4-thumbs down (exactly why we don't own any audi's--and stevel even works on the cars for a living! thanks to their reliability, he has a great job though! ) tsx is hands down way above an a4.power? equivalent. sure the a4 has the awd option, but that's about it. and as far as we can come up with this is the ONLY major plus. headlights? hid's are an added expense on an a4, not standard. they are standard equipment on the tsx.the cost of an a4 (msrp) is also a bit more than a tsx. blue tooth also extra. mp3 extra. power seat for passenger, extra. i'm sure there is more, but since i have no desire to own an audi (and stevel would probably divorce me if i did!) i have no desire to look up what other options are "extra" that are standard things on a tsx.an a4 is NOT comparable to a tl at all. the tl wins hands down and it doesn't even deserve being broken down into little bullet points to prove it. the fact that you think a tl can't compete with an a4 just shows how absent minded your approach to comparing cars is.you may not want to buy in to the acura koolaid, but don't knock it until you have actually TRIED it.ps~the rl-not my style, but when you're up in that grouping of cars, i don't think there is one big boat of a car that would be at all my style. the look on most audi owners faces after the first few trips to the shop for weird problems? priceless. i work with a few audi owners. it's quite funny at times!infiniti has a way to go as far as proving long term reliability before i'd even consider one. plus my experience with nissans has been lackluster and gives me no desire to even look in that direction. lexus, i'll admit, i have not looked that way simply because i don't like the feel of being driven by toyotas. but i can't vouch for whether a lexus can feel like a driver's car instead of being driven. if they follow in line with the toyota lineup, then i can honestly say i would hate driving a lexus because i wouldn't feel like i was driving the car.
