The car also has balance shafts which IIRC the current models do not have (parasistic loss). It's the same reason the original figures for the current Civic Si went from 200hp to 197hp. I'm also pretty sure it's rated under slightly different EPA ratings from the current model. Also, like the Civic Si, I'm willing to bet this vehicle is underrated. Higher comp and the gear ratios don't add up to 201hp.You get a more livable car from day to day, power where you need it most, a presumably better handling vehicle (dual-mode dampers) and better gas mileage. I don't get people's complaints. If you want more power go buy a 335i or wait for the rumored Type-S version.Stop complaining until you've all driven one. Most (I said, MOST, not all) of the folks complaining probably wouldn't even buy one. They just want something to complain about.
