Honda offers and 18" HFP wheel (PSX-9) as an accessory.The dealer tells me that Honda requires a 225/45R18 95Y tire by Yokohama for this wheel. The OEM tire for this car is a Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 size 235/45VR18. Noone from any Honda dealership can explain to me why. Some say the tire is required while others say it is recommended. The OEM wheel is 18x8. Noone can tell me the width of the HFP wheel. Tire Rack does not know the width of the HFP wheel. They tell me that the difference in height of the sidewall between the two tires is 3/10's of an inch. One dealer told me that I would have to sign a release if I wanted the HFP wheel with the OEM tire. Any enlightment would be appreciated.
