2003 Accord V6 automatic - 66,000 miles. Car was "inspected" for the safety recall on this transmission back in 2004, but they said it was okay and did not need the oil pump thingy back then. Now the transmission has failed. They say it is not the 2nd gear issue from that recall, that it is some "internal electrical issue" that causes it to not shift into the right gear(s) at the right times. Felt like the tranny locked up to me, almost sent me through the windshield, but I guess it could've been a downshift into 1st or 2nd at 50 mph.
First offer from the dealer is a replacement where I pay 50% of the "dealer cost", would end up being about $900. I've asked them to go back to Honda and ask for full replacement.
