New User...Simple Question About HID's...I Think
Permalink

Hello all. I am a newly registered user, but long time reader and I will start by saying thanks for lots of great input and information. I recently purchased a 2007 Accord because I got a great deal. I have driven Nissans for quite a while (4 Maximas and an Armada), but I couldn't pass up the deal on the Accord. I must say it has been a great car, but the one feature that I miss about the Maxima is the HID's. So, I have been searching a few forums/threads for a reasonable, inexpensive solution, and the one question that I have has not been answered that I can find.

My question: Does anybody know of an inexpensive HID plug and play kit with 9006 bulbs that includes the so-called casper or glare shields? I have found plenty of other bulb types that have the shields, but none of the 9006's.

For those of you who have retros, aftermarket projectors, etc, please don't bother wasting your time typing yet another message about how I shouldn't put HID's in my stock reflector housing. I have read enough bashing replies that I almost didn't want to take the time asking this question. I am a 34 year old responsible, married father of two kids, and if I replace MY stock lights on MY vehicle and I feel that it is too bright, or MY cut-off line isn't what it should be , I will pull them back out and go back to stock. I will then re-sell the kit on ebay to recover some of my cash, and I will have my answer as to whether or not my idea works on the Accord. No major money lost, but a personal curiosity settled.

So, if you have a valid answer, please post it here.

**Or, if you have a 7th generation Accord and have a 4300K or 6000K HID pnp kit installed in your factory reflector housings, I would really appreciate some pics and the details about your exact set-up.

Sorry for the long first post, but I am just trying to find an answer to my question without getting a bunch of smart-ass replies. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
