steering wheel controls
(Preview)
its supposed to be a 6 disc unit, with steering wheel controls. its not the premium system, that's only on the V6 6-speed. do you have leather? if you have cloth you need the one with manual climate controls. if you have leather you need the one with dual zone auto climate control.

Im looking for a stock radio for my 2004 Accord EX. I was told by the the dealer (not Honda) that this car had a 6-CD Changer unit. Guy doent remember if it was a Premium or not (but he said it was a premium). He also told me that the radio had the climate contol on it.. sorry for sounding too NOOB, but this is my f...

TUNE WHEEL
(Preview)
Thanks for all the tips but this thing is still not working. When I try turning the TUNE WHEEL the code request disappears and when I put in the code nothing happens. I am starting to think that I will have to make a trip to the dealer. Any other ideas before I head that way?? PS: navigation code does not work...

Radio and Navigation Code
(Preview)
Hi All, I recently purchased a 2004 Honda Accord Coupe. A new battery was installed in the car and now the radio and navigation systems do not work. I was able to get the codes for both but do not know the proper way to enter the codes. Anyone out there that can tell me how to do this so I dont have to pay a visit t...

changing oil every 3K
(Preview)
as i said, since around 5K seems to be the ballpark figure, it looks like, for ppl doing oil changes at 5K (like you ), rotating every oil change would work. however, for people doing severe schedule and changing oil every 3K (like me ), perhaps rotating at 6K (i.e., every other oil change) might do the tr...

2 hydraulic jacks
(Preview)
So on my son's Civic, I put the 3-ton hydraulic jack about 6 inches behind the front "notch" on the body edge and jack the whole side up. On the Accord, it makes me too nervous to use 1 spot to jack the whole side up, as the body flexes just a bit too much for my taste. Sometimes you can find a spot on t...

good spot to jack the car
(Preview)
I rotate whenever I change/have the oil changed on my car. For rotations I typically do them myself, as I don't trust the techs to put on the lugs with air tools (even if they say they won't), and it gives me more time to "bond" with my car...just like washing and waxing. Only time I may not do thi...

"modified X" pattern
(Preview)
Being a tire fanatic I rotate every 5k miles - all vehicles, all the time. Only difference is where I move the tires. On the Accord and Civic, I just do a front to back rotation. On the Pilot, I do a "modified X" pattern - front to rear, rears crossed to front. On most cars these days, you start to p...

tire rotation at 5K: yay or ney?
(Preview)
so at 4500, my MM is showing service code A, which, according to the honda web site's code explanation thingie is just an oil change. however, i've heard people say that it's not a bad idea to rotate tires at the same time, even though manual/MM doesn't specifically call out for it until a subsequent oil...

My 0-60 in I-4 Automatic Coupe
(Preview)
I tried to film my 0-60 with my cell phone and it came out pretty crappy but you get an idea. The best I have gotten is around 7.8 I think. Decided to put this up because of the complaints of no low-end torque and I'm curious if my acceleration is similar to some of yours. I think first gears 0-40 is pretty exce...

I only recall 2 in recent memory that required repair/replacement, and yours would be one of them...there was a 03 EX V6 on here with over 100K orig tranny so it does seem like a smal...

What about the tranny? The 2001 model year had tranny problems as well. My 03 had the fix and they replaced one in my 04. It's kind of funny how this is now just a small problem compared to others.I consider transmission problems to be worse than oil consumption. At least you can still drive a car that cons...

dozen Hondas since 1981
(Preview)
Ive had a dozen Hondas since 1981, many driven up to and well in excess of 100K miles, and with one exception (1994 Legend GS), they all had some kind of brake issue, whether noise, warp, or excessive wear. Other than that, they were fabulous cars. Of course, I havent owned year of every model Honda makes...

NPLS Nissan Product

I can't vouch for the current Pathfinder demographics, but I will guess the median income of all the other premium SUVs mentioned is well above $100K. My wife and I certainly make more than $100K combined, but I don't see us as rich (comfortable, yes). And I would have a tough time dropping $50K+ on an SU...

Well, we have a Pathfinder with the VQ35 and have had zero problems. The engine is a gem. My partents still have their 2000 Max SE (dad's junk around car now) with something like 75K and he has not had any issues after all these years. Of course he's in his mid-60s and doesn't beat his car up like a ricer (the...

Quality division for a non-automotive production facility
(Preview)
Totally agree. And note that the Marysville plant is non-Union, which I believe is the crux of the argument: instead of equating low quality with domestic-build, I believe the driver is actually union vs. non-union production. I used to work in the Quality division for a non-automotive production...

I don't know about the majority, but Honda opened up the Marysville plant back in 1982. So they've been making/selling American made Honda's since the 1983 Model Year, I think. Isn't the 1993 Honda Accord the year of the 10th anniversary edition? All of our Honda's up until my 2003 Accord and my mom's 2...

Yes, is made in Marysville, Ohio! >>> The majority of Accords have been built in Marysville since 1982. Three of the four Hondas I've owned have been Accords made in Marysville. The quality and reliability were just as good (if not better) as any other Honda.
