Thanks for the great write-up MJL, it helped me out a lot.
I finished the mod tonight and got everything working perfectly. I did have two minor glitches:
1. There are two small screws locktighted into place which hold the switch-blade mechanism in place. One of the damn screws sheared right off when I tried to back out the screw! Anyway the remnants of the screw act like a short post and the remaining screw was enough to hold everything tightly together.
2. Programing the remote was a little tricky until I read I had to point the new Acura remote at the power window lockout switch on the door while programming the remote. I used the original key to cycle the ignition while programming the remote.
