I believe the reference to the power window master switch is because thats where the receiver is for the remote locks. It receives the signal coming from the remote fob and tells the car to lock/unlock the doors. So its telling you to aim towards the window switch on the drivers door to make sure it receives the remote signal in time to program the remote.
