split rear-folding seat
Permalink

We were considering both the Camry and the Accord. There were a bunch of little things about the Camry that we didn't like:
  • Inconvenient placement of the AUX jack. It's tucked way in the back of a compartment in front of the shifter. In the Accord its in the arm rest.
  • The steering wheel drops during adjustment. Unlock it and it falls into your lap. The Accord's just sort of "floats" there.
  • The dash felt VERY plasticy. Granted, the Accord's is plastic as well, but it looks and feels like it is built of better quality materials. The Camry's just looks cheap.

I've been reading lately that Toyota seems to be taking a dive in reliability. That's after we've bought the Accord, but I don't think I'm just affirming our purchase.

One thing on the Accord not mentioned are a lack of a split rear-folding seat. Wasn't a big deal for us. What it really came down to was that we liked the feel and the look of the Accord better. We test drove it after the Camry and when my wife saw it, she immediately took a liking to it. So really, you need to go out and drive both and see which one you like better.

Good luck! thumbsup.gif
