I installed one of the HON/AUX DMX V.2X adapters in my 2007 EX-L sedan and connected the XM radio to it. For the first six weeks, both XM and the MP3 connection worked fine.
After that, whenever I turned on my car or radio when in XM mode, I would receive a series of dashes on my display and no sound for 5-30 seconds. After that, the radio would revert to the Preview channel. In addition, some genres and stations would not appear when I scrolled through (either they were skipped or it would display a series of dashes on the display and it would refuse to let me tune to that station).
I worked with XM and Blitzsafe but it came down to removing the Blitzsafe unit. Unfortunately, the XM problem still exists. I have sent the Blitzsafe back under warranty and will take the car to my dealer for them to look at the radio.
Despite assurances that it is not possible, I am afraid that the Blitzsafe box somehow corrupted my head unit. Also, while I really want the MP3 connection, I am scared to re-install the Blitzsafe in case it damages my radio again (which I'm sure Honda wouldn't cover a second failure--too suspicious).
Given that I've read of a lot of Accord owners installing this Blitzsafe device I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and what they did to fix it.
