I never said you had to use the dealer for maintenance, just that you had to follow Honda's maintenance schedule and you have to use the dealer for REPAIRS, if one is not close, you have to get autho before doing anything. I don't need to do either with Warranty direct. If you miss an oil change or don't do everything on the 15K,30K,45K etc service your claim can be denied, that doesn't mean they will, but they can....If they can show the breakdown was caused by not doing proper service either plan can deny claim. I don't like having to deal with the dealership and that alone is enough to keep me away from Honda Care.
