best American car mag...

I'm going to hijack my thread here Don't get me wrong ... I still think that C and D is the best American car mag... I just don't like the redesign. I like Aaron Robinson ... I think he's one of the best writers at C and D. John Phillips articles are great when they give him something off the wall to write about. I miss Brock Yates witty banter though. A friend of mine did an internship as a "road warrior" for C and D back in the early nineties and he took me up there a couple times. You would think that they would have some huge world headquarters or something. Nope. It's just a large downstairs office in a larger two story building in Ann Arbor. The neatest part was seeing the Chrysler proving grounds where they test their cars. It's disneyland for car nuts with every road scenario you can think of, cobblestone roads, roads with crater sized pot holes (engineered that way), high speed tracks, skidpads, roads that go for 3-4 miles straight with no speed limits. Needless to say, my friend worked for free without ever once complaining about it .
