Agree completely. I've been a subscriber since the 70's, and the great magazine it once was is just a memory. They had a really fine writer back then name Jean Sheppard. His work was literature, almost poetic. Some of my snobbish friends wondered why I'd read a "gear head" rag, so I'd loan them a copy and they would come back rather amazed at the quality. Both C&D and Automobile have degenerated into visual crap that caters to the short attention spans of people raised on Sesame Street and MTV.
