I too couldn't resist the hype so I stopped by the local deal at lunch. They had 2 in the showroom and a lot more in the back being prep. 1st impressions:
- price: 30K plus for a 4 cyc, FWD wt Nav? we're now approaching the bimmer territory - engine: it looks the same as in the previous model - interior: very nice. I particulary like the metal accent. The leather trim model has the luxury/upscale look. dislike: I'm not nuts about the double hum on the dashboard. Seats are huge (well.. for us, asian). Also the leather seats already look dirty. - exterior: just like Ben, I didn't like the head light sticking out. The car seems taller. I didn't like the front grills in the pictures but they actually looked nice in person.
I'm pretty sure the coupes would look sportier and fitted the younger crowd better.
In short, if I had a 7th gen., I probably wouldn't rush to the dealer and trade it in yet.
