"kids and car seat"

Now that I live in NC, I don't have my parents, family, and friends that I drive around as frequently as I used to - so a coupe might be acceptable. I want practical but I don't need "kids and car seat" practical and the back seat of the Accord coupe is hospitable for short term habitation for the few times I do give more than one person a ride. Plus if the performance is exceptional, the gen 8 coupe could fit the bill.

But I do prefer 4 doors. The doors are easier to open in tight spaces, there is the easy access factor for the rear (even for cleaning the rear window biggrin.gif), and the sedan tends to blend into the background more - which is fine with me. I prefer to have something that's better from the driver's seat looking out anyway.

V6 vs 4 . . . I've never found the 2.4L to be lacking. It gets me ahead of traffic and thru the moutains with no problems at all. The TSX's 4 has that much more kick and the 6speed would keep me that much more involved in the driving. I'm all about the driving, not the red light jack rabbit starts. And since I've found the current 2.4L to be fine, the only reason I would be OK with the 6 is for the really cool sounds it makes. yes.gif If the gen8 Accord's character seems to be be more luxurious, the 6 would make sense to me. As good as the tweaked 4 might be, it just might not fit the car's personality if that makes sense. But the 4 works well with the TSX.

If I the gen8 sedan's size isn't too outrageous in person, and the 4 works, I might consider it. But I'm thinking the resale of a 4cyl, 5-speed in the gen8 Accord is really going to stink. It just doesn't sound like a 4cyl, 5-speed will work with its character this time.

Decisions, decisions . . .
