07 Accord EX-L V6 6-speed

I have an 07 Accord EX-L V6 6-speed that I paid 25,000 for not 27995. I am not disputing the Prius looks better. But I don't think the prius handles as good (Not from my point of view), accelerates as good (11.3 seconds for Prius, about 8-8.5 for the corolla (taken from car and driver)), and I know it does not brake as well (It had a horrible feel to it, a common complaint against hybrids.)

And your fuel economy is excellent 63!!!! Considering EPA gives it a 60/51 you got 20% better than EPA, most have been getting 20% less than EPA. I would also like to point out thats 30% better than the new EPA numbers. I bet Toyota wants to talk to you. Not to call BS on you but that sounds impossible. After so many miles the batteries will drain and you will be running off of gas for the most part. And that gas engine will be pulling over 2900lb's.

At this point we are so far off topic it is not funny.

I will suffice to say this, and this is my last comment. Hybrids are not the answer; it is Hollywoods way of making a lot of rich people feel responsible even though most are not (Read Gore here). I am not trying to fool anyone, I drive a V-6, my wife drives a V-6. If there was a reliable, affordable, reasonable (Driving dynamics) vehicle I might buy it if the price was justified. I almost bought the accord hybrid but it lacked a Manual Transmission (I don't like auto trans). The real solution is Hydrogen, you can argue with me all day long. You can't get through because it is a pipe dream to have all cars battery powered.

This months car and driver highlights it. GM has been saying they will mass produce an all electric vehicle since the 70's and they have failed to do as such because batteries are not reliable if drained and recharged all the way (Hence why all modern hybrids keep the charge at all times between 40-70% (If I remember the article correctly)). Next there is not enough money/materials to give everyone in America a battery-powered car (That would not damage mother earth in the process).

Hydrogen is plentiful and would cost less than gas through its whole lifecycle if we start producing it with out new nuclear power plants and trash disposal plants.

Thats it, I am spent. Have a good day jump3.gif
