Oh, people who depend on the usual flow of wind across our planet for their climates, such as the Gulf Stream, might care an awful lot about it. Releasing fresh water into the ocean dilutes the salt water in the ocean, which upsets the balance that drives the currents of air that have a huge effect upon our climates. In the end, "you can criticize any politician or Hollywood celebrity you care to bash," but our current administration's "We don't believe in science" general spin on things may well contribute to making your children's lives quite very difficult -- and perhaps your own life as well, if you're young enough. "Politics" and "government" might not be the answer to trying to make a difference for the better, but I find it hard to believe that millions (or billions) of people will do much of anything other than "staying the course" with their fossil fuel consumption, unless government starts moving things toward viable (at a cost) alternatives -- or until Mother Nature forces us to change our ways.
