I was pretty close to getting the TomTom Go700 with the permanent vehicle mounting kit (bluetooth, directions through the speakers, touch screen.... ), but the lack of customer support shooed me away. i had plans to mount it in the storage bin below the radio so I could hide it when it's not in use. It's just the right dimensions to fit in there wthout any problems. Oh well. What's a $900 purchase worth to a multi-million dollar company anyway?
I have a Garmin USB GPS, but it's bright yellow and it doesn't have a gyro. Anytime it loses the signal, I got to guess where I am and how far I need to go before my exit....Most of the higher end stand-alone units have a gyro to guestimate how far down the road you are when it loses the satellite signal.
