I test drove both cars 2 days ago and the Maxima wins hands down in every category except build qaulity (The Maxima has great build quality too but the Honda's build quality is just that much better). The Maxima looks better, handles better, feels better, the interior is bigger, and too me is just the better car. But, I went with the 2004 V6 Accord because my wife really liked that one better. I think the 2004 Accord's exterior styling is very boring and suits senior citizens very well.
You don't get as excited when driving the Accord as you would get when driving the Maxima. Both cars can be had for about the same price used.
