MPGs in the low teens

It's not $900. It's more like $400. And it's a small price to pay for the benefits that citizenship offers. It's not a rip-off considering it probably costs the Gov't more than that to naturalize one person. This is America. Nothing is free in America. My mom used to gripe about the money and I just ended up paying it for her. She's now a citizen and doesn't have to endure the long lines entering the country, because this is now HER country. If you just have a green card they can and will send you to the LONG line where you have to wait in line with tourists! (They don't always or often do it, but I've seen where they have done it to some people.)Anyway, this is not a pissing contest about who's more American than who. I love this country, so much that I applied to become a citizen of it, because I felt it was my duty to do so since it has given me so much. I just felt I had to point this fact out to you since you were wrapping yourself in the American flag here in this thread, yet earlier you were so much against becoming a citizen, saying that you won't do it etc. Just wanted to know if you changed your mind.By the way, I understand what James.uk was saying, even though I don't agree with what he's saying. He's not hating America. He's stating an opinion about what companies are doing as a business decision. He did say that he believes that there is a conspiracy to keep diesel cars out of American markets because of the oil cartel. I don't agree with that either but I understand where he is coming from. Sometimes I wonder if that is indeed the case. But I know the real reason is the environmental regs plus the fact that Americans consume and consume and even though they gripe about the price of gas, have no problem in driving large SUVs which get MPGs in the low teens, so there is no real hurry to get diesel cars here. But anyway, nowhere did he say he hated America. Also, hating GW Bush is NOT hating America.
