"feel" argument
Permalink

I agree with the "real" vs. "feel" argument, which is why I said we need some quantitative data, from either a g-meter or a 1/4-mile slip. We have a 1/4-mile dragstrip about 30 minutes from my house, so I may venture over there this summer, just to get a baseline, of course! biggrin.gif

That said, I don't think my "feel" is completely ungrounded, which is why I mentioned all of the cars I calibrated against, and did so in a short period of time. I am also no stranger to street-driven cars, having owned over two dozen, from a Porsche to a Corvette to a rusty Suburban to a Civic VX. Many of my cars have been tested performers in the 7.0-sec 0-60 range. So I'm no Ricky Bobby or anything, but it isn't like I just graduated from driving a Big Wheel either. So I thought my driving impressions would be of interest.

I still agree that hard data > feelings, and I believe hard data is what the original poster to this thread was seeking (but isn't getting - yet). dunno.gif
