My friends have two cats that love to climb over the counters, etc.
They bought basically a can of compressed air that has some type of sensor. Its seems like the emergency cutoff on a garage door.
Basically set that on top of your hood, and the can will spray air when the cat breaks the beam. I just scares them and it will learn its lesson.
Definitely go to a pet store and the people there will have something that will help you train that cat to stay off of your car.
