No knob + cold intake = Bad car?

That Cleveland '06 Coupe is down to $16,333! However, not only is it missing the shift knob (suggesting the previous owner was a punk kid who replaced the originalwink.gif it also has an aftermarket cold intake (suggesting the previous owner drove it hard and wanted that extra 1hp).

The '06 Sedan I mentioned at $16,800 is down to
$15,000.

$15,900 in Atlanta.

Since I'm getting close to purchasing, I researched some of these dealers. Most of the REALLY low priced ones don't appear to have existed long, appear under different names or have lots of online and BBB complaints.

North Coast Auto Sales shows up with a different name (1st Gear Auto, Inc.) but is an actual member of the BBB with most complaints resolved. And $16,333 IS an amazing price!

Am I right to think this car isn't selling for a reason and that a missing shift knob combined with cold air intake indicates a car a 43 year old guy should avoid? Cleveland is a bit far away to just drop in and check the car out.

What would a replacement stock intake cost?
