There is either something wrong with your car...or there is something wrong with you -- either your calculations or your driving style. You say you "warm her up in the morning"...what exactly does this mean? If it means you start your car in the garage/driveway and let it run for 15-20 minutes while you go drink a cup of coffee...then I can understand your poor mileage. A car is best warmed up by driving it...not sitting at idle.I am still trying to break my wife of this mentality. It's glaringly obvious as when she drives the car in town, the mileage is always 3-4 mpg lower than mine. I've put 42000 miles on the Accord in 14 months and have every single gas receipt hand-calculated...which is a lot of receipts. My car is averaging nearly 20 mpg in town (despite my wife's methods), and almost 27 mpg on the highway. This is with a fairly aggressive driving style (lots of passing on two-lane) and in a state (Montana) with lots of elevation changes. I always seem to be driving into a headwind as well. I've had about 10 tanks that were slightly over 30 mpg, but this is a rarity as I always seem to find myself travelling about 82 mph; not really a speed conducive to great gas mileage.
